Since its inception in 2009 as a bluegrass trio, the Dang Ol' Tri'ole has added members and diversified its influences to arrive at its current 6-member lineup (Guitar, Bass, Violin, Trumpet, 2 Percussionists) and genre-blending sound. The distinctive set of backgrounds that six members contribute spawns a unique sound that borrows from an array of styes; influences include Traditional Folk, Bluegrass, Progressive Rock, Salsa, Blues, and Classic Rock. Four-part vocal harmonies, tight instrumental interplay, and high-energy performances are characteristic of the group's sound.

The Dang Ol' has released 3 albums: "Stumphole Water," a 6-track EP released in 2011, "Ranny Danzinger," a full-length album released a year later, and "Rise and Shine," the group's second full-length album, released in 2014.

The Dang 'Ol has performed throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa, gracing such establishments as The Cabooze, The Turf Club, Whiskey Junction, The Nomad World Pub, The 331 Club, The Fine Line Music Cafe, The Savoy, The Red Star at Fitgers, and many others.  The Dang 'Ol also frequently can be found playing at one of the Metro's many craft breweries, having taken the stage at Summit Brewing, Lift Bridge Brewing, Harriet Brewing, Indeed Brewing and Day Block Brewing's taprooms.  Finally, the group has begun to establish a presence on the festival scene, having played at Midwest Music Festival, Northen Lights Music Festival, Valhalla Music Festival, Mountain Top Festival, Plunderfest, and the Porcupine Mountain Music Festival.
